SEEG Masterclass 2026

From June 1st to 4th 2026

ALCIS organises a new SEEG Masterclass in collaboration with Pr Fabrice Bartolomei and the prestigious epileptology team from La Timone (APHM) in Marseilles, France. This year’s programme focused on posterior epilepsies and was rich in learning and interactions.

Attendees coming from all over the world have enjoyed both high-level lectures presented by epilepsy experts and several clinical case workshops which allowed to have discussions in smaller groups. This hybrid functioning with few attendees is the identity of our Masterclass, it supports discussions and personal interactions. Attendees have also enjoyed a total immersion in La Timone epileptology department with the presentation of the premises and equipment (such as MEG).

Many thanks to Pr Bartolomei and to the prestigious epileptology team from APHM (Marseilles Hospital) for their dedication and excellent lectures: Romain Carron, Julia Makhalova-Scholly, Francesca Pizzo, Agnès Trébuchon, Didier Scavarda, Francesca Bonini, Sandrine Aubert-Conil, Olivier Felician, Angela Marchi, Nathalie Villeneuve. The programme was particularly valuable and diversified thanks to the intervention of Frédéric Chavane, Research Director at the French National Centre for Scientific Research and thanks to the presence of international experts: Alexander Weil (Canada) and Sophie Schuind (Belgium).

We are delighted with this new event which gathered many neurosurgeons and neurophysiologists from Europe, Asia and Latin America. This year has been particularly convivial and full of discussions either during lectures and during free time. This wonderful week ended with Mandy Bloom’s concert led by Pr Fabrice Bartolomei.

We thank all attendees for their enriching interactions. We hope that this cours will contribute to spreading SEEG expertise and thus to improving epilepsy care.
