Guidance screw

Standard guidance screws 2023-VG allow to implant the depth coagulation electrodes and to keep them fixed and secured during all the implantation time. They also allow to insert a stylet to prepare the electrode trajectory. In association with a seal and a cap, the guidance screw offers a watertight connection with the electrode and the cranium. We offer different lengths from 15 to 35mm to fit the patient’s anatomy.  Short guidance screws 2023-VG-C allow to fix the electrodes even closer to the patient’s cranium for more comfort and to optimize MEG captor proximity to brain (present a reduced excess out of skin).

Screwdriver

Screwdrivers 2023-TO-xx and 2023-TO-C-xx help to implant and explant respectively standard guidance screws and short guidance screws. Two lengths are available: 20 and 160mm.

The screwdriver for short guidance screw cap 2023-TO-BC is designed to screws/unscrew the cap if you have difficulty removing it.

Wrench

Wrenches 2023-CL and 2023-CL-C are designed to unlock respectively the standard guidance screws and the short guidance screws before unscrewing them with the screwdriver. Their curved shape is user-friendly.

Drill

Drills 2023-FO are designed to make a Ø2,1mm hole into the skull in order to insert a guidance screw (standard or short).  Several lengths are available with a straight or conical base. They are compatible with stereotactic robots with a barrel of 2.5mm inner diameter; we also offer an H06 hexagonal base as an adaptor to fix the drill on the drilling machine. These drills are compatible with our depth stop 2036-BU-25-RU.

Graduated ruler

Our graduated ruler 2023-TG2 is composed of two different sides which make it possible to check:

• The insertion depth of accessories (drill, coagulation electrode) using Alcis depth stop 2036-BU-25-RU.
• The implantation length of depth coagulation electrodes which can be put onto the ruler while remaining in their protective tube.

Stylet

Our stylet 2023-ST is designed to make a hole of 0.8mm outer diameter in order to make the depth coagulation electrode insertion easier. It is provided with an adjustable depth stop which allows to control the insertion depth and it has an atraumatic blunt tip.

Coagulation electrode

Our coagulation electrode 2023-EC is a monopolar electrode which allows to coagulate the dura mater in order to insert the stylet and/or the depth coagulation electrode. It is compatible with our depth stop 2036-BU-25-RU.

We offer two types of coagulation electrodes: straight tip (2023-EC-xx-STD) or conical tip (2023-EC-xx-CNQ). The conical coagulation electrode has a marked conical sheath which covers the distal part and serves as a visual indicator of the electrode depth insertion.

Reusable depth stop

The depth stop 2036-BU-dd-RU allows to control the insertion depth of Alcis accessories of compatible diameter dd and to secure the drilling depth by ensuring a stop effect at the chosen distance.
